Our treatments plans offer behavior help with ABA therapy.

Experience your child learning through natural play. The way they were meant to.

Experience your child learning through natural play. The way they were meant to.

Help your child with autism face life’s hurdles.

Some children have a difficult time coping with their environment. There are many reasons for this: the child could be experiencing sensory issues, could have a greater-than-average need for a structured environment, could require a teaching of skills that many children learn naturally, etc. The long and short of it is—something is not quite right. This is how we can help.

Our process is very individualized and tailored to each child and situation.

Generally, we follow this process:

1.      Observe and assess. Seeing your child in each environment will enable us to evaluate his or her struggles and strengths. Following a caregiver interview, we generally need to complete a home observation and a center-based assessment. If your child is attending school, daycare, or any other services, we will complete observations and interviews there as well.

2.      Create a plan. We will work together to create a plan based on our observations and assessments. This will result in a plan that families and caregivers are able to follow consistently and with relative ease. Included in the plan will be the goals that we hope to accomplish with your child.

3.      Begin intervention. If insurance agrees, we will begin treatment at an appropriate intensity. This may mean the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) continues to work with your child a few hours a week and provides training to you or Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs). Working with the BCBA may be beneficial to provide your child with more intensive therapy and more hours.

4.      Make adjustments. In some cases, as you may expect, the first version of the plan needs to be modified. With agreed upon reason, treatment plans may be adjusted for the betterment of the child or for emerging needs.

5.      Skills transfer and fading. As quickly as possible, we will transfer our skills to you and the child's caregivers, so that you are able to continue following the plan in our absence. We will systematically remove ourselves from the environment, so your child does not become dependent on our presence.

6.      Collect data. Throughout the process, we will be collecting information to make sure we are on the right track and are not missing anything. If necessary, we may ask the caregivers to collect data as well (we’ll keep it easy, we promise!).

7.      Discharge. Once the child meets all of the outlined goals, we will go through discharge. We will remain available for any questions and may request a follow-up session to make sure everything continues well.

Our ultimate goal is to help you learn the process for helping your child through their special situation.  Chances are, the current circumstance may recur in the future and we want you to be prepared. Your child can live life to the fullest!
